About me
Hi, I am Marek and for those who don't know me, the photography has always been my hobby.
I started off with black & white photography when I was a teenager. I used to develop my own b&w pictures then.
Nowadays, the colour photography leads the way, but I have to say that in my opinion, there are certain emotions that a colour photograph will never express as well as a good black & white one.
I take both colour and b&w pictures and you can see them by visiting my galleries.
Cameras:
I mainly use Nikon D80. It is not top of the market DSLR, but it takes very good pictures and until I become a professional photographer, I don't need anything better.
So it happened that in Dec 2007, in Singapore, an opportunity arose and I replaced my Nikon D50 with Nikon D80. This is my main camera now. It takes high quality pictures.

Just recently, when hunting for a lense that would be good for portrait photography I have come across this second hand film camera Nikon F801
which had a nice lense attached to it. What made it more exciting, the camera + lens + SB24 flash
gun was more than 50% cheaper than exactly the same lens which was on display in the very same shop. I could not resist it...
Occasionally I use my son's Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX3
It is a very nice compact size camera.
I take it with me when taking my bulky camera bag is not practical.
The 6-megapixel LUMIX DMC-FX3 features 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 35 mm to 105 mm on a 35 mm film camera) f/2.8 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens housed in a compact body.
The zoom ratio can be extended up to 4.1x in 3-megapixel resolution mode thanks to the Extra Optical Zoom function which gives extra magnification (and minimal image deterioration) by intentionally using the centre part of the CCD.

Lenses:
Sigma 18-200 OS (my main lens)
This compact lens offers a big 11x zoom range in combination with Sigma's own Optical Stabilizer. Just like the 18-50 mm DC lens this one features aspherical and low dispersion elements as well as multi-layer coating to reduce flare and ghosting

The super wide-angle Sigma 10-20mm DC lens is extremely useful for both indoor and landscape photography. It is specifically designed to optimise results with most major digital SLR camera manufacturers with APS-C size image sensors.

Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 DG MACRO
This telephoto zoom lens provides high image quality. It includes a switch for macro photography between 200mm and 300mm and is capable of a maximum magnification of 1:2. Three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements provide excellent correction of chromatic aberrations. High image quality is assured throughout the entire zoom range.
